Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yahweh Falwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taz Brandon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Falwell's entrance music is Don't Stop Believing. A fine choice. Brandon has chosen Ace Of Spades as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Falwell is looking to clinch but Brandon is avoiding it.

Brandon closes the distance and clinches.
Brandon wants a takedown.
Falwell wants to break free but Brandon has control.

Brandon wants the takedown. Falwell is fighting it off but Brandon persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Falwell's guard against the cage.

Brandon gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

and Brandon counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Brandon moves nicely into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You can see the frustration on Falwell's face as Brandon controls the position.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Brandon working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Falwell is bucking up trying to escape but Brandon cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Brandon tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Brandon cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Yahweh Falwell spoke after the fight, saying 'Hasa diga eebowai. I guess I didn't pray hard enough, or maybe prayed too much. I bet if I rolled more instead of praying, I might have learned to defend submissions. I guess it's God's will. But to quote George Carlin: "If it's God's will and he's going to do what he wants to anyway, why'.
