The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riggs tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fist sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Riggs somewhat.
Riggs throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Fist cracks Riggs with an open hand slap.
Fist misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Riggs tries to work over Fist's front leg with a kick but Fist checks it.
Fist moves in looking to clinch but Riggs pushes him off.
Fist closes the distance but Riggs moves to the side
and Riggs makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Riggs has taken the fight to the clinch.
Fist is trying to push Riggs away but Riggs has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Riggs throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fist's waist but Fist gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Riggs off to one side.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
