PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chindolly The Fast Machine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabian Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Machine might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Next Big Thing. Fabian Lopez is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Machine gets caught flat footed, as Lopez shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Machine wants to get back to his feet but Lopez is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Lopez pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Machine is keeping the position for now.

Lopez gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Lopez passes Machine's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Lopez seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Machine has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lopez is working away from the top position though.

Lopez decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Machine is breathing heavily.

Machine gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lopez to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Lopez is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Lopez distracts Machine with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Lopez stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Lopez pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Lopez is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Machine's half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lopez works his foot free and advances to mount.

Lopez wants to finish this one by submission but Machine is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Lopez.

Lopez has control of Machine's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Machine regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Lopez gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Lopez throws a right and a left that both miss.
Machine pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Machine gets caught napping as Lopez dives in and scores a takedown. Machine manages to retain guard.
Lopez is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
It looks like Lopez might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Machine stops Lopez from standing up.
Machine wants to stand and escape but instead Lopez has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Lopez is pushing down on Machine's leg trying to pass to half guard. Machine is fighting to maintain full guard but Lopez has managed to sneak the leg through.

Machine wants to control but Lopez is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Still in half guard, Lopez seems content to control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lopez moves nicely into side control.
Machine seems a little lost for a moment, as Lopez dominates the positioning.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lopez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lopez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Lopez in side control lands a decent elbow.

Machine is rocked!
Lopez cracks Machine with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Lopez immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Machine is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Lopez!
