Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Byrd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cole Paxton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Topper Green and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Byrd will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Paxton shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Byrd might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Byrd is trying to get back to full guard.
Paxton seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Paxton goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Byrd shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Paxton sprawls well. Paxton wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Byrd gets slowly back to his feet.
Byrd takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Byrd enables Paxton to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Byrd manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Paxton moves into range and clinches up with Byrd.
Byrd manages to break the clinch.
Paxton throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Byrd tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Paxton is in Byrd's guard.

Paxton is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Byrd will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Well Paxton has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
