The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Shikhar counters with a good, hard body kick but Cierpka shrugs it off.
Cierpka misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Shikhar throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Cierpka chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Shikhar can pounce on him.
Shikhar throws a head kick but Cierpka moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A head kick from Shikhar lands but Cierpka takes it in his stride.
Cierpka shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Shikhar sprawls well. Shikhar wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cierpka gets slowly back to his feet.

A slapping body kick lands there for Shikhar.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Shikhar! Cierpka is out on his feet! Shikhar rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Cierpka is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Cierpka is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
