Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between JayDee Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pauly Pigano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pauly Pigano will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, JayDee Penn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pauly Pigano!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Chris Saunders and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pigano pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Penn tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pigano sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Penn somewhat.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Penn crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Pigano - the referee stops the clock and Penn gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Pigano. Penn manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Pigano fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
It looks like JayDee Penn has been cut.
Pigano scores with a nice right hand.
A slapping body kick lands there for Pigano.
Penn dives in and grabs Pigano's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pigano pushes down on Penn's head and hops out.
An inside leg kick lands from Pigano.
Penn has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for JayDee Penn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pigano dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Penn has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Penn closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pigano circles away.
Pigano chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Pigano buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Penn tries for a takedown but Pigano sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Penn on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Pigano lands a nice looking body kick.
Penn is breathing heavily.
Pigano lands a head kick!
Penn feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Pigano not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Pigano is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Penn pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pigano is keeping the position for now.
Pigano is trying to keep Penn in close.
Pigano really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Penn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Pigano lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Penn looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pigano is one step ahead there.
Pigano avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Penn is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pigano is looking to control Penn's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pigano avoid being mounted?
Pigano is defending against the submission attempts here by Penn.
Penn has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Pigano defend it? Penn steps over the head and cranks it - Pigano is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Penn!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). JayDee Penn!
A very excited looking JayDee Penn rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
Pauly Pigano was interviewed post fight and said 'I'd rather eat teeth than fucking pizza.'.
