Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dante Alastair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trevor Colvin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dante Alastair!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Trevor Colvin!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Colvin wants to clinch up but Alastair keeps it at a distance.
Colvin looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Alastair misses with a double jab.
Alastair doesn't manage to clinch there - Colvin circles away.
Alastair throws a half hearted mid kick.
Alastair scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Alastair looks to land a combination but Colvin avoids it well.

Alastair tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

and Colvin counters with a shoot takedown. Alastair fights it but they end up in guard.

Colvin is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Alastair trying to keep a closed guard but Colvin is proving a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Alastair looking to hit a scissor sweep but Colvin is one step ahead there.

Colvin wants to control from the top but Alastair keeps moving.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Alastair throws a series of strikes that have Colvin backpedaling.
Alastair misses with a series of wild punches.
Trevor Colvin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Alastair throws a right and a left that both miss.
Alastair lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Alastair.
Alastair doesn't manage to clinch there - Colvin circles away.
Alastair wants to clinch up but Colvin keeps it at a distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Colvin looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Alastair throws a series of punches but Colvin avoids them all with ease.
Alastair lands a nice looking body shot.
Alastair misses with the combination.
Colvin shoots in but no luck this time.
Alastair goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Alastair takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Alastair is breathing heavily.
Alastair avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Colvin.
Alastair is looking to regain half guard here but Colvin keeps moving and retains side control.
Alastair knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Colvin on the ground.
Colvin is looking to take a break and control but Alastair is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Colvin decides to stand back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Alastair fails in his attempt to clinch.
Colvin will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Alastair moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Dante Alastair is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Colvin shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Colvin showed some decent athleticism there.
Alastair lands one or two decent shots to the body here. Although from his own half guard, he's not going to be causing too much damage.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Colvin looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Alastair!

Colvin might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Alastair kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
