The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takahashi throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gable is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

It looks like Cael Gable has been cut.
Gable lands the left hand.
Takahashi throws a lazy right hand but Gable sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Gable bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Gable tries to advance to mount but can't.
Gable content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Takahashi is trying to control Gable's posture but Gable avoids it.

Gable tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Gable is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Takahashi is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Takahashi takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Takahashi has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

Gable lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Takahashi quite badly. Takahashi pulls Gable in close trying to recover. Gable postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Takahashi on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Takahashi doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Cael Gable spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
