Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergio Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Russell Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Patterson has chosen "Still Unbroken" by Lynyrd Skynyrd as his entrance music. Sergio Ramos has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Patterson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ramos to the mat! Ramos manages to get full guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Patterson won't allow Ramos to get back to his feet.

Patterson stands and steps away. Ramos gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Patterson rushes Ramos and presses him up against the cage.

Ramos breaks the clinch.
Patterson wants to clinch.
Ramos misses with the combination.

Patterson takes one to the side of the head.
Ramos pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Ramos clobbers Patterson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Patterson has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Ramos works over Patterson's head and body with a nice combination.
Ramos is breathing heavily.
Ramos cracks Patterson with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ramos clobbers Patterson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Patterson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Patterson moves in looking to clinch but Ramos pushes him off.
Ramos throws a lazy right hand but Patterson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Sergio Ramos is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Patterson slips a straight right by Ramos.

Patterson shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Patterson is working for a kimura but Ramos is defending it quite comfortably.

Patterson decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Patterson lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Patterson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Patterson is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ramos.
Patterson tries to bum rush Ramos with a series of wild strikes but Ramos uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Patterson shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Patterson is keen to just control but Ramos is a slippery customer.
Ramos on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ramos tries to get out of the position.

Patterson is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Ramos is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Russell Patterson opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
