Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fred Micks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Rogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fred Micks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Rogan!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Alyssa Summers and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Micks walks forward, straight into a front kick from Rogan.

Micks scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Micks is thwarting Rogan's attempts to control the position.
Rogan wants to improve his position but Micks is controlling well.
Rogan trying to control here.
Micks is pressing down on Rogan's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rogan is holding on for now.
Rogan tries to get to full guard but Micks has control of the leg.
Rogan regains full guard. Nicely done.
Micks advances to half guard.
Micks uses his free foot to push down on Rogan's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Rogan.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rogan trying to control but Micks postures up.
Rogan makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Rogan.

Rogan had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Micks is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Rogan Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Micks's back instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rogan is persistently looking for the submission but Micks is defending it well.
Micks tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Micks stops Rogan from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Rogan mounts Micks! Really nice guard pass there!

Rogan working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Micks gets back to half guard.
Rogan is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Rogan with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
Micks is desperately trying to improve his position but Rogan has a good base and remains in mount.

Rogan looking for a guillotine from mount but Micks is having none of it.
Rogan looks gassed!
Rogan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Micks is looking to escape.

Rogan looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Rogan prevents Micks from getting the reversal.
Micks is just holding on here. Rogan manages to take his back.
Rogan doesn't have the hooks in and Micks manages to turn into his guard.
Micks pushing down on Rogan's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Micks is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Micks wants to take a breather but Rogan is having none of it.

Micks is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Rogan doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Micks.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Micks is pressing down on Rogan's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rogan is holding on for now.
Rogan wants to get back to his feet.
Rogan is not content to let Micks control the position.
Micks landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Rogan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rogan fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

so Micks counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Micks stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rogan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Micks postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Joe Rogan will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Micks blocks a head kick by Rogan.
Rogan doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Micks counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Rogan looking for a guillotine here but Micks defends easily.
Micks working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Rogan's head.

Micks drops back looking for a leg! Rogan is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rogan manages to kick Micks off! Micks jumps back into Rogan's guard.

Rogan looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Micks passes into side control.
Rogan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Micks wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Micks is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Rogan knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Rogan is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Micks trying to pass the guard but Rogan defending well.
Micks working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Rogan gets full guard.
Micks has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Rogan has his foot on Micks's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Micks works his way back into a safe position though.
Micks advances to half guard.
Micks wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rogan keeps working.

Rogan wants to get back to his feet.
Micks is looking to advance position but Rogan won't allow it.
Rogan slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Micks looking to pass the guard.
Rogan lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Micks!

Micks defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Rogan.
Micks is in all sorts of trouble here.

Rogan throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Micks has his hands clasped together but Rogan breaks the hold and Micks is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Rogan!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Joe Rogan!
