The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alito displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Perkins.
Perkins takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

A left and a right from Alito both land. Nice combination.

Perkins shoots for a takedown but Alito saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

We're going to have a standup here because Mark Alito wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Perkins closes the distance and clinches up with Alito, looking for a takedown. Perkins pushes Alito against the cage but Alito circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Alito takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Perkins is trying desperately to land a takedown but Alito is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Perkins.

Alito gets a warning from the ref for wasting time.
Alito is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Perkins can do to turn this around?
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Mark Alito.

Alito paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Alito uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Perkins moves out of range of the leg kick from Alito.
Perkins takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Alito lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Alito scores with the left hand. Perkins knows he should have avoided that one.

Mark Alito showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Alito has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
