The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bobek has his takedown stuffed

and Higginbotham decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bobek's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Bobek is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Higginbotham wants to finish this one by submission but Bobek is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Higginbotham.

Higginbotham's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Higginbotham is working for a guillotine from mount but Bobek frees his head quite easily.

Bobek is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A big strike lands for Higginbotham! That's really hurt Bobek and he's turned his back - Higginbotham keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Higginbotham jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
