Zodd has chosen Welcome to the jungle by Guns and Roses as his entrance music. Rocco Melendez could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to George Zodd's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Zodd looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Melendez is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Zodd's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Zodd's back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Melendez scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Melendez is trying to stick to Zodd's back but Zodd is turning into Melendez. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Melendez's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Zodd.

Melendez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Melendez tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Zodd drops back looking for a leg! Melendez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Melendez manages to kick Zodd off! Zodd jumps back into Melendez's guard.
Zodd tries to free his leg and advance position but Melendez is retaining full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Zodd shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Melendez pinned against the cage. Melendez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Zodd walks into a jab.
Zodd shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Zodd looks gassed!
Zodd misses the shot to the body.
Melendez throws an overhand right that has Zodd reeling! Melendez follows up with more punches and Zodd is out cold! This one is all over!
