Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Scott Alvisi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Michaels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alvisi's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, AC/DC - Live Wire. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Josh Michaels!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michaels slaps away a takedown attempt from Alvisi, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Alvisi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Michaels as he jumps to the side.
Michaels misses with a wild combination.
Michaels throws a series of punches but Alvisi moves out of range.
A combination from Michaels does no damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Michaels ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Alvisi moves away.
Alvisi closes this distance looking for a takedown but Michaels circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Scott Alvisi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A punch combination from Michaels misses.
Michaels throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Alvisi takes one to the side of the head.
Alvisi slips a jab and a cross from Michaels.
Alvisi shoots in but Michaels avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Michaels scores with a body shot.
Josh Michaels seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alvisi dodges the punch combination from Michaels.
Alvisi decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Michaels is trying to stand back up but Alvisi is controlling him

Alvisi wants to pass to mount but Michaels is defending the position.
Alvisi frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Alvisi with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Michaels is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Alvisi jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Michaels is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Michaels and Alvisi has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Michaels wants to control but Alvisi postures up.

Alvisi is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Michaels is trying to escape and Alvisi transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Michaels is forced to tap! Nice work there by Alvisi! Very nice indeed!
