And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rocky Joaquin!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Chris Saunders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Homelius rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Joaquin moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Homelius scores with a jab.
Homelius lands with a thumping leg kick.
Aulis Homelius seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Homelius scores with a head kick.
Joaquin takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
A combination from Homelius does no damage.
Homelius connects with an inside leg kick.
Joaquin uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Homelius.
Homelius slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Homelius is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Homelius uses his free foot to push down on Joaquin's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Joaquin.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Homelius throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Joaquin is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Joaquin wants to control but Homelius is having none of it.
Joaquin bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

OK we're going to have a standup here. Rocky Joaquin hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Joaquin takes one on the button.
Homelius connects with a crisp jab.
A telegraphed right hand from Homelius misses the target.
Joaquin displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Homelius throws out the jab.
Homelius throws a looping overhand right but Joaquin ducks down to avoid it.

Homelius drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Joaquin is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Homelius doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Joaquin crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Joaquin's bad books for that mishap!
