Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rusty Snyder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Usva Kallio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Snyder moves into the clinch.

Snyder manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Kallio working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Snyder is working an open guard so Kallio takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Snyder closes the distance but Kallio moves to the side

and Kallio counters with a shoot takedown. Snyder fights it but they end up in guard.

Kallio got a little sloppy there for a moment and Snyder has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kallio has managed to get both his arms back between Snyder's legs - danger averted.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Snyder has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kallio can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Snyder working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kallio doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kallio manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Snyder controls Kallio momentarily but Kallio frees himself.

Kallio tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Snyder's elbow.
Snyder is pressed up against the cage. Kallio has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Snyder down to the mat. Snyder avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Kallio is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Snyder sees it coming and defends easily.

Kallio shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Snyder pinned against the cage. Snyder gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Snyder's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Snyder throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kallio's waist but Kallio gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Snyder off to one side.
