Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Zamora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Dumn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arthur Zamora has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Arthur Zamora!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jeff Dumn!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Chris Dean and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dumn moves in looking to clinch but Zamora pushes him off.

Dumn scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Dumn wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dumn seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Zamora does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Zamora works his way to full guard. Good work.
Zamora will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Zamora tries to roll over but Dumn keeps him under control.

Dumn wants to take a breather but Zamora is having none of it.
Zamora moves into full guard.
Zamora keeping moving, preventing Dumn from controlling successfully.
Zamora seems keen to control Dumn's posture.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jeff Dumn.
Zamora circles away from the clinch attempt

and Zamora moves into the clinch.

Dumn is fighting off a takedown attempt but Zamora is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Dumn to the mat. Dumn regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Zamora is looking to work some ground and pound but Dumn has wrist control.
Zamora keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Dumn's head.
Zamora cracks Dumn with a solid left hand.

Zamora gets to his feet - Dumn follows without any prompting.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Dumn manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Zamora on his heels. He'll look to pass Zamora's guard now, I'm sure.
Zamora wants to sweep but no luck.
Zamora wants to get back to his feet but Dumn is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Dumn wants to stand but Zamora is controlling his posture from full guard.
Dumn trying to control the position from guard on top but Zamora is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jeff Dumn hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Dumn misses with the body kick

and Zamora decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dumn's guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Zamora not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Zamora makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Zamora stands up over Dumn, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Zamora with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zamora seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Zamora has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Dumn is trying to keep Zamora in close.

Zamora drops back looking for a leg! Dumn is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dumn manages to kick Zamora off! Zamora jumps back into Dumn's guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Zamora lands a couple of digs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zamora throws a shot to the body.

Dumn bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Zamora is trying to get back to his feet.
Zamora regains half guard.

Dumn is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Zamora sees it coming and defends easily.
Zamora holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Dumn is breathing heavily.

Dumn seems to be looking for submissions.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Zamora is trying to stand.
Dumn throwing shots but Zamora is blocking nicely.
Zamora has hold of Dumn's hands but Dumn slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Zamora looks like he's trying to stand up.
Zamora gets back to full guard.

Zamora has control of Dumn's left arm, preventing Dumn from doing any damage.
Zamora keeping moving, preventing Dumn from controlling successfully.
Zamora looking for a sweep. Not yet Zamora, not yet.
Zamora wants to stand up but Dumn is controlling him.

Jeff Dumn has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Zamora breaks the clinch.
Dumn throws a series of punches but Zamora avoids them all with ease.

Zamora pushes Dumn up against the cage in a clinch.

Zamora breaks from the clinch.
Zamora really is a fat lump.

Dumn drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Zamora pulls Dumn in close to prevent any damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Zamora is on top in guard.
Dumn is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Zamora drops back looking for a leg! Dumn is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dumn manages to kick Zamora off! Zamora jumps back into Dumn's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



Zamora forces Dumn back against the cage and clinches.

Zamora breaks the clinch.
Dumn throws a leg kick that is checked

and Zamora counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Zamora escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dumn throws a nice looking combination but Zamora bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Dumn tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Zamora holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Zamora manages to break the clinch.
Dumn scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Dumn shoots in and bounces Zamora off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Dumn wants to control from the top but Zamora keeps moving.
Dumn might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Zamora haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Jeff Dumn has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Dumn closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Dumn lands in his opponent's guard.
Dumn wanted to stand there but Zamora had control of the position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Zamora looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Zamora's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Dumn looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Zamora!
Zamora is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Dumn's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Zamora tries to kick Dumn off but Dumn keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Zamora has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Dumn. Oh but Zamora has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Dumn goes limp - he's gone! Zamora jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:50 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Arthur Zamora!
