With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Michal Kowalewski!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Ackerman and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanson on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Kowalewski. Kowalewski obviously looking to wear him down.
Kowalewski misses with a hook.
Kowalewski tried to score with a low kick but Hanson checks it.

Hanson closes the distance and pushes Kowalewski back into the cage.
Kowalewski prevents the takedown attempt.
Hanson wants to take the fight to the mat but Kowalewski manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Hanson scores with a shoulder strike.

Hanson drags the fight down to the ground.
Kowalewski prevents Hanson from getting back to his feet.

Hanson wriggles free and stands up.
Hanson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kowalewski.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hanson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Hanson closes the distance but Kowalewski moves to the side
letting Kowalewski counter with a right hand.
Kowalewski throws a body kick that misses.
Michal Kowalewski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hanson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Kowalewski looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Kowalewski misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kowalewski lands with an overhand left.


It looks like Sung Hanson has been cut.
Kowalewski misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kowalewski is looking to chop away at Hanson's legs.
Kowalewski scores with a body shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hanson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kowalewski connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Hanson scrambles back to his feet.
Hanson ducks under a wild hook from Kowalewski.
Kowalewski will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kowalewski feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Hanson's calf.
Kowalewski tries a low kick but Hanson avoids it.
Kowalewski throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kowalewski throws a poor cross that misses

and Hanson counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Hanson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Kowalewski gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Hanson.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sung Hanson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kowalewski breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kowalewski looks to land a left hand but Hanson moved out of range nicely.
Hanson moves out of range as Kowalewski strikes.
Hanson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kowalewski.
A jab from Kowalewski finds it's way through Hanson's defenses.
Kowalewski throws a poor cross that misses
and Hanson counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Kowalewski is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Hanson wants to clinch
and Kowalewski makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Hanson really felt that one!
Hanson is breathing heavily.
Kowalewski fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Hanson is out of range.
Kowalewski throws a hook but Hanson blocks it.
Kowalewski misses with an uppercut
and Hanson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Kowalewski lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Hanson takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Whack! Kowalewski lands a heavy head kick that drops Hanson. The ref tackles Kowalewski to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Hanson was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Michal Kowalewski!
