Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jewell Beach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ruslan Eremeev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruslan Eremeev will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Eremeev shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Beach has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Eremeev is on him like a limpet, forcing Beach back against the cage.

Eremeev turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Eremeev manages to end up in side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Eremeev seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Beach drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Beach jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Beach manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Eremeev has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Beach is trying to keep an underhook but Eremeev manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Beach is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Beach is fighting off a takedown attempt but Eremeev is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Beach to the mat. Beach regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Beach tries to close the distance and clinch but Eremeev swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Beach has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
