The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie misses with a takedown
and Gracie takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Gracie seems to be working for a kimura but Gay defends the submission attempt.
Gay is trying to stand back up but Gracie is controlling him
Gay wants to control but Gracie is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Gracie is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gay is just riding it out for now. Gracie eventually gives up the hold.

Gracie leaves Gay with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Gracie goes for a double leg but Gay avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Gay continues to drive forward.
Gay wants to take the fight to the mat but Gracie manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Gracie has Gay pressed against the cage, preventing Gay from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Gracie has his feet on Gay's thighs here. He's pushed Gay off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Gay screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
