Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alfred Mcguire!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jorge Enriquez!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Mauricio Rocha and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Enriquez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mcguire showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Enriquez.
Enriquez looks to score with a jab to the body but Mcguire is just out of range.

Enriquez shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mcguire napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Enriquez laying and praying for a moment but Mcguire takes advantage and regains half guard.
Enriquez is pressing down on Mcguire's thigh, looking to free his foot. Mcguire is holding on for now.

Enriquez is looking for a kimura here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jorge Enriquez hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Mcguire gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Enriquez to score an easy takedown into full guard.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Enriquez tries to close the distance and clinch but Mcguire swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jorge Enriquez hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Enriquez closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Mcguire's guard.
Enriquez wanted to stand there but Mcguire had control of the position.

Enriquez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mcguire swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mcguire is staying active underneath Enriquez, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Enriquez wants to stand but Mcguire has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Enriquez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Enriquez is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Enriquez wants to stand but Mcguire has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Enriquez takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Enriquez is looking to pass into half guard but Mcguire pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Mcguire is in guard.
Enriquez manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Enriquez is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Mcguire can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Enriquez wants to control the pace but Mcguire is squirming around nicely.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Enriquez throws some wild stikes that Mcguire manages to avoid easily.
Mcguire is bucking up trying to escape but Enriquez cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Enriquez wants to stand but Mcguire is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.

Jorge Enriquez has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Enriquez throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mcguire was covering up waiting for the punch and Enriquez finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mcguire looking to hit a scissor sweep but Enriquez is one step ahead there.

Well Enriquez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
