Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kraig Richards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Christopher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). George Christopher will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kraig Richards!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, George Christopher!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Richards feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Christopher looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Richards with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Christopher takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Richards manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Christopher on his heels. He'll look to pass Christopher's guard now, I'm sure.

Richards has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Richards throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Christopher was covering up waiting for the punch and Richards finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Christopher really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Richards. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Richards seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Christopher for as long as he can get away with.

Christopher tries to close the distance and clinch but Richards swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Richards throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Christopher tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Richards is in Christopher's guard.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Christopher enables Richards to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Christopher manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Richards has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Christopher is trying to keep an underhook but Richards manages to get the takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Christopher flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Richards slips a nice elbow through Christopher's hands, connecting with Christopher's forehead.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Richards looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Christopher with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Richards seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Kraig Richards is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Christopher wants to stand back up but Richards manages to pass into side control.

Kraig Richards showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Richards has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
