Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mante Quilla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zyd Canuck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Zyd Canuck!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Canuck looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Quilla!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Canuck lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Quilla is trying to control Canuck's posture but Canuck avoids it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Canuck creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Quilla sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Canuck tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Canuck has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Canuck has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
You can see the frustration on Quilla's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Quilla tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Canuck wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Canuck is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Quilla looks calm but he's in trouble here. Canuck gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Quilla is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Canuck lets go of the hold and Quilla can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Zyd Canuck!
A relieved looking Zyd Canuck thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
