PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johnathon Bradshaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raistlin Lovelair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnathon Bradshaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raistlin Lovelair!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lovelair gets tackled into the cage by Bradshaw. Bradshaw maintains the clinch.

Bradshaw gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Lovelair wants to control but Bradshaw passes easily into half guard.
Lovelair wants to sweep but Bradshaw has passed to side control!
Bradshaw really is a fat lump.
Lovelair is looking for a sweep.
Lovelair is still trying to improve position.

Bradshaw tries for a kimura but Lovelair is defending well.

Bradshaw is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lovelair is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Bradshaw tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Lovelair is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Bradshaw wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lovelair, who protects the arm well.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Lovelair tries to improve position but can't.
Lovelair regains half guard.

Bradshaw is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Lovelair has managed to free his arm - good work.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lovelair is trying to get back to full guard.

Bradshaw is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lovelair defends it well.

Bradshaw seems to be working for a kimura but Lovelair defends the submission attempt.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lovelair can do anything to dispel that myth.

Bradshaw is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Lovelair is looking to control Bradshaw's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lovelair avoid being mounted?

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Lovelair is trying to get back to full guard.
Lovelair is trying to control but Bradshaw manages to pass to mount!

Bradshaw is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Lovelair can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Lovelair is trying desperately to improve position.
Bradshaw manages to capitalize on a mistake by Lovelair to take his back!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johnathon Bradshaw dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Bradshaw darts in and clinches Lovelair up against the cage.

Lovelair escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lovelair throws a leg kick but Bradshaw sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Lovelair blocks a head kick by Bradshaw.
Johnathon Bradshaw is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lovelair avoids the head kick by Bradshaw.
Lovelair shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bradshaw ducks under a wild hook from Lovelair.
Lovelair throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bradshaw stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bradshaw wants it to stay on the feet.
Danga de danga de dang - Lovelair scores with a four punch combination!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Bradshaw.

Lovelair is looking to regain half guard here but Bradshaw keeps moving and retains side control.
Lovelair looking for a sweep but Bradshaw has passed into full mount! Oh no!

Bradshaw is working for a guillotine from mount but Lovelair frees his head quite easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lovelair tries to strike from the bottom but he's left himself exposed and Bradshaw has taken his back.
Lovelair trying to control the action but Bradshaw just sinks the hooks in.

Bradshaw working for a choke but Lovelair is defending well.
Johnathon Bradshaw overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Bradshaw is looking for the choke from the back position but Lovelair is controlling his hands well.
Bradshaw is trying to stick to Lovelair's back but Lovelair is turning into Bradshaw. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Bradshaw's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Lovelair.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bradshaw looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Bradshaw striking off his back but it's not causing Lovelair any problems.

Bradshaw is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lovelair lands a couple of digs.
Lovelair tries to free his leg and advance position but Bradshaw is retaining full guard.
Lovelair lands a couple of digs.
Lovelair is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Lovelair won't allow Bradshaw to get back to his feet.
Lovelair working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Lovelair is in close to Bradshaw's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Lovelair cracks Bradshaw with a solid left hand.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lovelair lands a couple of elbows.

Lovelair postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Bradshaw bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lovelair's guard.
Lovelair thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Bradshaw throwing strikes but missing.
Bradshaw prevents Lovelair from getting back to his feet.
Lovelair trying to keep a closed guard but Bradshaw is proving a slippery customer.
Lovelair wants to stand but Bradshaw is controlling the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Raistlin Lovelair showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Bradshaw's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Bradshaw darts in looking for a takedown but Lovelair gets double underhooks and turns Bradshaw into the cage.

Bradshaw is trying to trip Lovelair. He has hold of a leg but Lovelair is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Bradshaw persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Lovelair is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Lovelair looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bradshaw with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Lovelair thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Lovelair seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Bradshaw is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lovelair pulls his head out easily.
Lovelair landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Lovelair drops an elbow to the side of Bradshaw's head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lovelair passes the guard and advances to mount!
Lovelair lands with some strikes.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lovelair lands a couple of good shots and Bradshaw has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Lovelair is punishing Bradshaw with some ground and pound.
Lovelair cracks Bradshaw with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Bradshaw from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.


Bradshaw is rocked!
Lovelair connects with a couple of big shots that have Bradshaw covering up! Oh, this looks bad for Bradshaw! Lovelair fires away with several more unanswered shots and the referee has no choice but to step in! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Raistlin Lovelair!
Raistlin Lovelair seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
