The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeRosa misses with an attempted mid kick.
DeRosa is looking to clinch.
Santos looks to score with a jab to the body but DeRosa is just out of range.
DeRosa throws a quick inside leg kick.
Santos lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but DeRosa circles away quickly and effectively.
DeRosa scores with a spinning back kick!
Santos scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

DeRosa has managed to clinch.
DeRosa tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
DeRosa misses with some punches.

Santos breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Santos stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from DeRosa.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
DeRosa lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

It looks like Morinho Santos has been cut.
DeRosa keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Santos.
DeRosa misses with a body shot.
DeRosa scores with a decent looking hook.
DeRosa thumps Santos with a low kick.
Santos takes a body punch but keeps moving.

That's one minute gone in the round.
DeRosa ducks under a wild hook from Santos.
DeRosa scores with a push kick.
DeRosa uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Santos.
DeRosa throws a nice outside leg kick.
DeRosa lands a leg kick that knocks Santos off balance momentarily.
Santos looks winded!

DeRosa pushes Santos up against the cage in a clinch.
DeRosa throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
DeRosa doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Santos breaks from the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
DeRosa scores with a nice body kick.
Santos takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
DeRosa lands a leg kick that knocks Santos off balance momentarily.
Leonardo DeRosa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Santos walks forward, straight into a front kick from DeRosa.
DeRosa throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Santos crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
