Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Shamrock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyle Willems (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Shamrock might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shamrock throws the left hand but Willems avoids the punch easily.
Willems throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Willems throws a low kick but Shamrock moves out of range easily.
Willems is looking to chop away at Shamrock's legs.
Willems missing with a left hand there. Shamrock was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Willems looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Shamrock throws a good cross that connects.
Willems misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Shamrock.
A left lands for Shamrock.
Willems throws a shot from downtown. Shamrock moves away and avoids it.
Shamrock slips a straight right by Willems.

Willems throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Shamrock's waist but Shamrock gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Willems off to one side.
Willems tries to score with a low kick but Shamrock moves his leg out of the way.

A looping hook to the body misses from Shamrock. Willems does a little dance to reset his feet.
Shamrock throws a series of punches but Willems avoids them all with ease.
Willems fails in his attempt to clinch.
Willems moves in looking to clinch but Shamrock pushes him off.

Chuck Shamrock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Willems drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Willems misses the jab.
Shamrock lands a nice shot that snaps Willems's head back.
Willems lands a nice hook to Shamrock's body. Shamrock takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

It looks like Shamrock has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Shamrock tries to clinch but Willems moves away
and Willems counters with a straight right hand.

Shamrock breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Shamrock counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Willems! He's just covering up as Shamrock starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
