Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Agustin Ellis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jon Goldenhammer!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Dean Styles and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Goldenhammer with that takedown attempt.
Goldenhammer shoots in for a double leg but Ellis sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Goldenhammer dives in and scores a takedown into Ellis's guard.
Goldenhammer trying to control the position from guard on top but Ellis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Goldenhammer drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ellis dives on top into guard.

Ellis has gone for a leg lock! Goldenhammer slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ellis's guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jon Goldenhammer wasn't active enough on the ground.

Goldenhammer closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Ellis's guard.

Goldenhammer controls Ellis momentarily but Ellis frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Goldenhammer is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Ellis is fighting to break Goldenhammer's control of his arms but Goldenhammer is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Goldenhammer is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Ellis lands a couple of decent looking shots.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ellis postures up in Goldenhammer's guard and throws a big left but Goldenhammer blocks it.

Ellis can't keep his opponent in guard - Goldenhammer advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Goldenhammer lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Goldenhammer closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Goldenhammer throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
enabling Ellis to counter with a crisp jab.
Goldenhammer throws a sloppy head kick
and Ellis counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Goldenhammer tries to clinch there but Ellis circles away.

Goldenhammer drives through with a takedown into Ellis's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Goldenhammer wants to stand but Ellis has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Goldenhammer wants to control from the top but Ellis keeps moving.

Goldenhammer stands and steps away. Ellis gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ellis keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Goldenhammer falls off balance throwing a combination
and Ellis counters with a nice uppercut.

Goldenhammer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Goldenhammer gets to his feet - Ellis follows without any prompting.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ellis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Goldenhammer as he jumps to the side.
Goldenhammer tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Jon Goldenhammer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



Goldenhammer changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ellis looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Goldenhammer is looking to take a break and control but Ellis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Goldenhammer stands up and beckons Ellis to his feet.
Goldenhammer tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ellis manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Goldenhammer is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ellis sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

and Ellis connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Goldenhammer is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ellis defends it well.

Goldenhammer changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ellis looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The referee warns Ellis that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Jon Goldenhammer is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Goldenhammer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
