Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Luc Van Der Vaart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kacper Kowalik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kowalik has chosen Metallica- Turn the page as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Luc Van Der Vaart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kacper Kowalik!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Wagner Zegers and Paul Aken.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kowalik misses with a body shot.
Kowalik wants to clinch but Van Der Vaart slips to the side

and Van Der Vaart holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Kowalik tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Van Der Vaart smiles and moves away.
Kowalik tries to land a front kick but Van Der Vaart steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Van Der Vaart jumps guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Van Der Vaart controls Kowalik momentarily but Kowalik frees himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kowalik prevents Van Der Vaart from getting back to his feet.
Kowalik wants to control from the top but Van Der Vaart keeps moving.
Kowalik stands and throws Van Der Vaart's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kowalik is looking to take a break and control but Van Der Vaart is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Van Der Vaart is trying to get back to his feet.
Van Der Vaart tries to buck Kowalik off but Kowalik is having none of it.

Kowalik tries for a kimura but Van Der Vaart is defending well.

Kowalik wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Van Der Vaart, who protects the arm well.
Van Der Vaart knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kowalik on the ground.
Van Der Vaart sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Van Der Vaart is defending against the submission attempts here by Kowalik.
Van Der Vaart tries to roll over but Kowalik keeps him under control.

Kowalik is working for a submission of some sort.
Van Der Vaart lands one or two decent shots to the body here. Although from his own half guard, he's not going to be causing too much damage.
Van Der Vaart tries to get to full guard but Kowalik has control of the leg.
Kowalik has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Titan Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Kowalik has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Van Der Vaart defend it? Kowalik steps over the head and cranks it - Van Der Vaart is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Kowalik!
