Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Portman closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Portman lands in his opponent's guard.
Hamilton will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Portman avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Portman wants to control from the top but Hamilton keeps moving.
Hamilton looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Portman passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Portman throws a strike aimed at the side of Hamilton's head but Hamilton avoids it well.
Hamilton manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Hamilton winds up and cracks Portman with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Hamilton thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Portman's head.

Hamilton is keen to just control but Portman is a slippery customer.
Hamilton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Portman is looking to improve his position.

Hamilton looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Portman with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Portman tries to get to full guard but Hamilton has control of the leg.

Hamilton prevents Portman from standing back up.

Hamilton seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Portman does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Portman is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hamilton pulls his head out easily.

Hamilton seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hamilton lands a nice short elbow.
Hamilton working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hamilton connects with a nice short shot to Portman's temple.

Portman looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Portman is working for a kimura but Hamilton is defending it quite comfortably.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Hamilton kicks Portman off and gets back to his feet.
Portman will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Portman pushes Hamilton up against the cage in a clinch.

Hamilton postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Portman throws his legs up looking for a submission but Hamilton uses it to pass to side control.
Portman looks to move to half guard but instead Hamilton has passed into mount! Damn!
Portman can't escape the position.

Hamilton looking to finish Portman with some ground and pound. This is bad for Portman!
Hamilton tries to control but Portman wriggling away.
Portman taking shots to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hamilton breaks from Portman's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Hamilton postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Portman badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Hamilton around the waist but Hamilton pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Hamilton is the winner by TKO! Hamilton jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
