Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Ben Watson and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis looks to land a combination but Young avoids it well.
Davis lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Young circles away quickly and effectively.
Davis throws a series of punches but Young avoids them all with ease.
Nice defenses there by Young.
Davis throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Young counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Davis is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Davis throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Young takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Davis fails to land with a series of punches.
Davis throws an overhand right that lands on Young's shoulder, as Young tries to avoid the shot.

and Young finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
You can see the frustration on Davis's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Young will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Young has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Young won't allow Davis to sweep him here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Well, if Young is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
