Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Armand Agasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Seven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 32 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Armand Agasi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Patrick Seven!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Steven Brown and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seven misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Seven shoots in but no luck this time.
Agasi connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Seven displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Agasi throws out the jab.
Seven shoots in but Agasi avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Armand Agasi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Patrick Seven.
Seven goes for a double leg but Agasi avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Agasi continues to drive forward.
Agasi lands a right hand that snaps the head of Seven backwards.

Agasi wants the takedown. Seven is fighting it off but Agasi persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Seven's guard against the cage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Agasi wants to control from the top but Seven keeps moving.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Agasi scores with a jab. Seven acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Seven moves out of range of the strikes.
Seven fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Seven misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Agasi tests Seven's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Agasi just misses with a punch to the body.
Agasi throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Agasi throws an overhand right that lands on Seven's shoulder, as Seven tries to avoid the shot.

Agasi changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Agasi scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Seven looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Seven shoots in looking for a takedown. Agasi tries to sprawl out of it but Seven keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Agasi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Seven fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Agasi throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Seven takes one to the side of the head.

Agasi lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

so Seven counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Agasi wants to sweep but no luck.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Seven wants to control from the top but Agasi keeps moving.

Agasi is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Seven is aware though and is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Agasi uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Seven has time to react.

Agasi throws out a loose jab but Seven uses good head movement to avoid it.
Horrible takedown attempt by Seven or perhaps it was just good defense by Agasi, which made it look bad.
Agasi is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Seven.

Seven takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Agasi connects with a jab.
Seven shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Agasi as he jumps to the side.

Seven dives in for a single leg takedown but Agasi sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Agasi tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Agasi has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Seven tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Agasi presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

My spies in CB Gym inform me that Seven has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Seven is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Agasi is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Agasi has escaped and now he's on top!

Agasi looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Seven with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Agasi is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Seven is just riding it out for now. Agasi eventually gives up the hold.

Agasi is nestled in close to Seven, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Agasi misses with the combination.
Agasi shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Seven eats them both and turns towards Agasi to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Agasi stuffs the takedown attempt from Seven. Seven gets slowly back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
Armand Agasi showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Agasi has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
