PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Charles Bronson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Alvarez Banner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Banner is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Raining Blood by Slayer. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Charles Bronson!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Bruce Alvarez Banner!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Darius Henderson and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bronson walks into a straight right hand from Banner.
Bronson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Banner swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Bronson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Banner has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Banner misses with a two punch combination.
Bronson works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.


It looks like Bruce Alvarez Banner has been cut.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Bronson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Banner has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bronson has managed to get both his arms back between Banner's legs - danger averted.
