Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kenji Yomata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Briggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Dirk Anderson and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yomata throws a right hand that Briggs ducks under and follows up with a left that Briggs also avoids with ease.
Yomata shoots in for a takedown but Briggs shows good takedown defense.
Briggs avoids a punch combination nicely.
Briggs darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Yomata trying to control but Briggs postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Briggs drops an elbow to the side of Yomata's head.
Yomata wants to improve his position but Briggs is controlling well.
Briggs lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Briggs lands a nice short elbow.
Briggs tries to pass the half guard into mount. Yomata knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Yomata looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Briggs is looking to advance position but Yomata won't allow it.
Yomata has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Briggs is working away from the top position though.
Briggs lands strikes from half guard.
Briggs passes the guard and advances to mount!
Briggs with a couple of short strikes.
Yomata takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Yomata is rocked!
Yomata sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Oh Yomata is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Briggs tries to pass to full mount but Yomata defends it.
Briggs trying to control the action but Yomata is working from the bottom.
Yomata seems to have got his legs back now.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Briggs wants to pass the guard but Yomata is defending well.

Briggs slips a nice elbow through Yomata's hands, connecting with Yomata's forehead.
Briggs wants to pass to mount but Yomata is defending the position.
Briggs scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Yomata moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Briggs pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Yomata is keeping the position for now.
Yomata had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Briggs defends it easily.
Briggs cracks Yomata with a solid left hand.
Yomata keeping moving, preventing Briggs from controlling successfully.
Yomata looking for a guillotine here but Briggs defends easily.
Briggs got a little sloppy there for a moment and Yomata has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Briggs has managed to get both his arms back between Yomata's legs - danger averted.

Briggs connects with a couple of short punches.
Yomata keeping full guard, as Briggs tries to pass.
Yomata has momentary wrist control but Briggs slips an elbow through the middle.
Yomata is looking to cinch up a triangle. Briggs throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Yomata's body to avoid the submission. Yomata has instead reached around Briggs's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Yomata arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
