Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Parker Cross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Alex Walker enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Parker Cross!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alex Walker!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Daniel Cesar and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cross shoots for a double leg takedown but Walker sprawls well. He's pushed Cross's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Horrible takedown by Cross or perhaps it was just good defense by Walker which made him look bad.
Walker misses with a low kick.

Walker closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Walker has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Cross is trying to keep an underhook but Walker manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Walker is taking a breather. Cross says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Cross moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Walker avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Walker gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Walker tries to score with a low kick but Cross moves his leg out of the way.
Cross will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Parker Cross. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Walker closes the distance and pushes Cross back into the cage.

Walker breaks from the clinch.

Walker bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Cross sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Walker wants to take a breather but Cross is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cross tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Cross slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Cross really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Cross has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Walker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Walker stands up and waves to Cross to follow him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cross gets caught napping as Walker dives in and scores a takedown. Cross manages to retain guard.
Walker slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Cross looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Walker puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Cross wants to improve his position but Walker is controlling well.
Cross wants to get back to his feet.
Cross gets back to full guard.

Cross tries to land a sweep but no joy.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Alex Walker.

Cross tries to keep at a distance but Walker has taken the fight into the clinch.

Walker breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Walker gets a takedown into half guard.
Cross is looking to improve his position.

Cross is defending against the submission attempts here by Walker.
Cross gets back to full guard.
Walker postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Walker wants to control from the top but Cross keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cross lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Walker!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Walker is trying to stand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Cross's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Walker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cross swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Cross is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Walker really wants to buck Cross off and get back to his feet.

Cross goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Walker is on top in guard.

Cross looking to hit a scissor sweep but Walker is one step ahead there.

Walker must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Walker is looking for a kimura but Cross is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Walker to get the leverage.

Cross makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Cross.
Walker tries to free his leg and advance position but Cross is retaining full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Parker Cross will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Walker darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Walker tries to pass to full mount but Cross defends it.
Cross manages to get to full guard.
Cross wants to sweep but no luck.

Walker decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Cross, up you get!
Cross looks to score with a jab to the body but Walker is just out of range.
Walker keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Cross gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Walker to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Cross will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Cross is letting Walker control him for a moment.
Cross is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Walker is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Walker prevents Cross from getting the reversal.
Walker can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Cross is looking to escape.

Cross regains half guard.
Cross is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are battling for position here. Cross manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Walker got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cross has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Walker has managed to get both his arms back between Cross's legs - danger averted.

Cross had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Walker defends it easily.

Walker slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Cross is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Walker has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cross is working away from the top position though.

Cross is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Walker tries to roll over but Cross keeps him under control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Alex Walker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Walker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
