Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Armand Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Prak Thom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Prak Thom acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Hugh Johnson and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Thom looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Prak Thom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kane tries to clinch up but Thom circles away and keeps his distance.

It looks like Armand Kane has been cut.

Thom feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Thom really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kane. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Thom drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kane dives on top into guard.

Kane has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Thom has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Kane has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kane's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Thom drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kane looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kane looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kane!

Kane goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Thom has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Kane but great work by Thom.

Thom's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Kane is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Thom to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Thom shrugs it off.
