Hoover is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mcfarland sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Mcfarland jumps guard but Hoover turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Mcfarland prevents Hoover from breaking the clinch.
Mcfarland tries to pull guard but Hoover forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Hoover is trying to break the clinch but Mcfarland is controlling him.
Hoover is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Mcfarland gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Mcfarland breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mcfarland doesn't manage to clinch there - Hoover circles away.
Hoover keeps the fight on the outside.
