Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Katsuyari Monoriku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Parry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Katsuyari Monoriku!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ben Parry!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monoriku lands a nice looking kick to the body. Parry takes a step back to recover.
Monoriku looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Parry is fending him off so far but Monoriku persists. Nope, Parry circles away and we're back to standing.

Parry decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Monoriku pushes Parry away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Parry gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Parry takes a little break here. Monoriku wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Monoriku wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Parry thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Parry is breathing heavily.

Parry swings around for an armbar but Monoriku sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Parry's guard.

Parry pulls Monoriku in close to prevent any damage.

Monoriku is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Parry has escaped the position, nice work there.
Parry tries to bench press Monoriku off him but Monoriku keeps the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Parry is trying to control Monoriku's posture but Monoriku avoids it.
Parry manages to get back to half guard.
Monoriku prevents Parry from improving his position.
Monoriku content to control rather than advance.
Parry is staying active underneath Monoriku, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ben Parry showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Parry takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Parry throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Monoriku because Parry loaded up on that one.

Ben Parry comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Parry winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
