Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gary Oak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Red Flash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oak comes to the cage accompanied by Pokemon Theme. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gary Oak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Red Flash !
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Bruno Lombardi and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oak fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Flash to the ground. Oak is now in Flash 's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Oak in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Flash is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Flash working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Oak has passed into half guard!

Oak is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Flash defends it well.
Oak has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Flash wants to improve his position but Oak is controlling well.
Flash is trying to stand back up but Oak is controlling him
Oak has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Flash tries to roll over but Oak keeps him under control.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Flash is defending against the submission attempts here by Oak.

Oak seems to be working for a kimura but Flash defends the submission attempt.
Flash wants to control but Oak is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Oak is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Flash doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Oak.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Flash slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Oak preventing the sweep.
Flash is trying to control the position but Oak postures up.

Flash looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Oak with a flurry of punches that miss.

Oak drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Oak as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Flash screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Oak! Nice submission victory there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Gary Oak!
A less than humble Gary Oak misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
