PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thunder Bolt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Toothless Yarborough (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yarborough has chosen :( as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bolt misses with a series of wild punches.

and Bolt counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

It looks like Toothless Yarborough has been cut.

Bolt tries to stand but Yarborough is controlling from the bottom.
Yarborough seems to have recovered his senses.
Yarborough is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Bolt really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Yarborough is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bolt would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Bolt decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Back to the action!

Bolt moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Yarborough fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bolt manages to avoid it.
No joy there for Bolt, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Yarborough ducks straight into an uppercut from Bolt and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Yarborough maanges to regain guard straight away.

Bolt wanted to stand there but Yarborough had control of the position.
Yarborough is trying to keep Bolt in close.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Bolt wants to get up but he can't break Yarborough's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Yarborough is trying to keep Bolt in close.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bolt swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Yarborough dodges the punch combination from Bolt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Bolt misses with a jab, cross combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Bolt throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Yarborough ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bolt moves away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yarborough lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

It looks like Thunder Bolt has been cut.
Yarborough tries to land knees in the clinch but Bolt avoids the damage to the body.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Yarborough comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Bolt takes an elbow to the temple.

Thunder Bolt's cut is getting worse.
Yarborough using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Bolt has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Bolt wants to get back to striking at distance but Yarborough won't allow it.

Jeez, Thunder Bolt's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Thunder Bolt's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
