Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between The Mountain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoko Suna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, The Mountain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Yoko Suna!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mountain tries to clinch there but Suna circles away.
Mountain swinging wildly here.
Nice takedown defense from Suna. No joy for Mountain on that attempt.
Suna misses with a hook.
Suna's coach down at Area 51 was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Suna's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Mountain staying out of range there.
Mountain shoots for a takedown but Suna saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Suna's corner calls for a 1-2. Suna obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.


It looks like The Mountain has been cut.
Mountain misses with a straight left.
Mountain tries for a takedown but Suna sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for The Mountain. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mountain displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Suna throws out the jab.
Nice defenses there by Mountain.
Suna throws out a loose jab but Mountain uses good head movement to avoid it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mountain looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Mountain tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Suna defends well and Mountain ends up having to push Suna into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mountain working hard to break the clinch.
Mountain tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Suna smiles and moves away.
Suna throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mountain tries to clinch there but Suna circles away.
Suna has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Suna there as he acknowledges the shot.
Suna lands with a good body shot.
Mountain takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Mountain is breathing heavily.
A combination from Suna does no damage.
Suna misses with a double jab.
Suna throws an overhand right that drops Mountain like a sack of potatoes! Suna dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yoko Suna!
