The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Owens is looking to land body kicks.
Owens throws a series of punches but Floyd moves out of range.

Floyd closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Owens quickly recovers to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Floyd is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Owens is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Floyd scores with a couple of nice shots.

Floyd is looking for a kimura but Owens is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Floyd to get the leverage.
Floyd has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Floyd is nestled in close to Owens, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Floyd is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Owens's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Owens's back!

Owens is sitting in close to Floyd's body. Floyd has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Owens is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Owens is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Floyd.
