Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vasiliy Zadov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Calvin Fawkes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zadov's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Hu Ha. Calvin Fawkes has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Vasiliy Zadov's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fawkes tries for a takedown but Zadov circles away easily
and Zadov counters with an outside leg kick.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Fawkes has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Zadov misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Fawkes.
Zadov lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Zadov.

and Zadov counters with a head kick that drops Fawkes to the mat! Fawkes scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

A slapping leg kick lands for Zadov.
Zadov clobbers Fawkes with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Zadov connects with a body shot that sends Fawkes's belly button to the back.
Zadov fails to land with a series of punches.
Fawkes takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Zadov closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Zadov is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.

Zadov creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Fawkes's defenses.

It looks like Zadov has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Fawkes sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Zadov lands a big head kick that sends Fawkes tumbling to the mat! Zadov takes a step backwards and waves Fawkes back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Zadov lands a brutal head kick. Fawkes looks out on his feet and Zadov throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
