PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yoko Suna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dwayne Wade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Tarja Halkonen and Arvi Lind.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suna thows a body shot but no joy.
Suna works Wade's body with a nice hook.
Wade walks into a stiff left hand from Suna.
Suna comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wade closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Wade slips a nice elbow through Suna's hands, connecting with Suna's forehead.

Wade seems to be working for a kimura but Suna defends the submission attempt.

Wade is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Suna doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Wade.
Wade wants to free his trapped foot but Suna is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Wade is working for a kimura but Suna is defending it quite comfortably.

Wade is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Suna defends it well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Suna pushes Wade off looking to stand but Wade dives back in and keeps control.

Suna is defending against the submission attempts here by Wade.
Suna could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Wade is taking a breather. Suna says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wade is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Suna!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wade stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

Wade closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Wade is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Suna is just riding it out for now. Wade eventually gives up the hold.

Wade is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wade thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dwayne Wade dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!

Suna tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wade was well out of range. Poor timing from Suna.
Wade takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Suna throws a series of punches but Wade moves out of range.
Suna is looking to wear down Wade with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Suna scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Wade shoots in but Suna avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Suna fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Wade looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Suna cracks a nice hook into Wade's ribs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Good standup being displayed there by Suna as he connects with a hook.

It looks like Dwayne Wade has been cut.

Suna cracks Wade with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Suna has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Wade to stand back up!
Suna ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Wade is breathing heavily.
BOOM! Suna lands a beautiful left hook that drops Wade. Wade tries to recover but Suna is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Wade lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
