The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manavazyam throws a head kick that misses.
Rodriguez avoids the head kick by Manavazyam.
Gegam Manavazyam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rodriguez.
Manavazyam throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Manavazyam jabs Rodriguez right on the nose. Rodriguez blinks but takes it well.

Rodriguez moves into range and clinches up with Manavazyam.

Rodriguez moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Rodriguez dives in and grabs Manavazyam's left leg, looking for a takedown. Manavazyam pushes down on Rodriguez's head and hops out.
Manavazyam throws a hook to the side of Rodriguez's head but Rodriguez sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Manavazyam throws the left hand but Rodriguez avoids the punch easily.

Rodriguez fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Manavazyam sprawls well initially but Rodriguez persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Manavazyam scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Rodriguez manages to mount him!
Manavazyam is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Rodriguez swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
