Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, George Luz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jimmy Tornqvist!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Sosuke Kotani and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luz takes one to the chin there.


It looks like George Luz has been cut.
The fighters circling - Tornqvist throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Tornqvist throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Tornqvist stuffs the takedown.
Luz doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Luz really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Luz is breathing heavily.
Tornqvist misses with a double jab.
Tornqvist misses with a two punch combination.
Tornqvist scores with a jab to the head.
Luz looks for a takedown but Tornqvist sprawls well.
Good exchange - Tornqvist coming out on top.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tornqvist fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Luz, pushing him back against the cage.
Tornqvist lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Tornqvist works on Luz's body with a couple of short punches.
Tornqvist lands with a left to the head.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Tornqvist takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A nice left hand lands by Tornqvist.

Tornqvist's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jimmy Tornqvist seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tornqvist fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Tornqvist moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Luz goes down! Can Tornqvist finish him!?


Luz is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Luz is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tornqvist is aware though and is defending well.
Oh Luz is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tornqvist really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Luz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Tornqvist cracks Luz with a solid left hand.
Luz definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Tornqvist postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Luz covers up, he's hurt! Tornqvist keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Tornqvist and the ref steps in to end the fight! Tornqvist can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jimmy Tornqvist!
