PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lincoln Burrows (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronald Reigns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ronald Reigns told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burrows throws a lazy uppercut
and Reigns cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Burrows tries to clinch but Reigns moves away
and Reigns counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Reigns fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Burrows lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
We've been told by Burrows's head coaches at Synergy Fight Team that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Reigns tries to bum rush Burrows with a series of wild strikes but Burrows uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A looping hook to the body misses from Reigns. Burrows does a little dance to reset his feet.
A punch combination from Reigns misses.
Reigns swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Burrows avoids a punch combination nicely.
Reigns misses with a double jab.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Burrows looks to clinch
and Reigns counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Reigns throws a nice looking combination but Burrows bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Reigns lands with a cross.

Reigns dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Reigns drops Burrows with a beautiful combination! Burrows stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Reigns is looking for the KO!

Burrows is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Reigns fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Oh Burrows is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Burrows throws a predictable looking body shot
and Reigns counters with a left to the body.
Burrows tries a head kick but it misses.
Burrows seems to have got his legs back now.

Reigns drops Burrows with a beautiful combination! Burrows stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Reigns is looking for the KO!

Reigns tries to keep at a distance but Burrows has taken the fight into the clinch.
Reigns has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Burrows keeps control of Reigns as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Burrows has Reigns pressed against the cage, preventing Reigns from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Reigns manages to break the clinch.
Burrows moves to clinch but Reigns breaks away
and Reigns counters with a lovely shot to the body.

and Reigns counters with a straight right hand.
Burrows looks to land a left hand but Reigns moved out of range nicely.
Sloppy strikes from Reigns. Those never looked like landing.

Burrows tries to clinch up
and Reigns connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Reigns cracks Burrows with a good jab.
Reigns throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Reigns misses with a wild combination.
Burrows walks into a left hand.

Burrows tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Reigns fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Burrows looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Burrows is breathing heavily.
Reigns feints a jab promting Burrows to slip. Reigns then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Burrows slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Burrows is looking to clinch but Reigns is avoiding it.
Burrows takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
OH! Burrows has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Reigns smells blood and charges in for the finish! Reigns unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Burrows sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
