Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leonard Briggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lagar Prechnyan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lagar Prechnyan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Leonard Briggs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lagar Prechnyan! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Albert Achterberg and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Prechnyan is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Briggs's half guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Briggs gets full guard. Prechnyan looking to pass the guard. Prechnyan is looking to stand up but Briggs won't let him. Briggs manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Prechnyan throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Briggs counters with a thumping low kick. A jab from Prechnyan finds it's way through Briggs's defenses.
It looks like Leonard Briggs has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Briggs gets caught flat footed, as Prechnyan shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Prechnyan trying to control the position from guard on top but Briggs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Prechnyan tries to free his leg and advance position but Briggs is retaining full guard. Prechnyan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Prechnyan stands up and waves to Briggs to follow him. Briggs throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
That's one minute gone in the round. Prechnyan misses with a wild body shot. Briggs throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Prechnyan tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Briggs is in Prechnyan's guard. Prechnyan wants to stand and escape but Briggs is having none of it. Prechnyan controls Briggs momentarily but Briggs frees himself. Briggs throws an elbow that misses. Prechnyan uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Briggs's guard. Nice move by Prechnyan! Briggs looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Prechnyan throws a big right hand that misses. Briggs keeping moving, preventing Prechnyan from controlling successfully. Prechnyan cracks Briggs with a solid left hand. Briggs really is a fat lump. Prechnyan trying to control the position from guard on top but Briggs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Prechnyan is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. This has been an exciting period of action! The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Lagar Prechnyan. Prechnyan is looking to chop away at Briggs's legs. Prechnyan closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Briggs quickly recovers to half guard. Prechnyan with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Prechnyan not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Briggs blocking the ground and pound attempt from Prechnyan. Prechnyan misses with a head shot. Briggs uses the momentum to regain guard. Prechnyan trying to control but Briggs is working from the bottom. Prechnyan content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Prechnyan trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Prechnyan throwing strikes but missing. Prechnyan is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's four minutes gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Prechnyan tries to free his leg and advance position but Briggs is retaining full guard. Prechnyan controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Lagar Prechnyan wasn't active enough on the ground. Prechnyan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Briggs moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Briggs checks a low kick from Prechnyan. Prechnyan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Prechnyan lands an elbow. Prechnyan wants to take a breather but Briggs manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Prechnyan. Prechnyan gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Briggs counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Prechnyan keeping hold of Briggs's head, controlling as best he can. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Prechnyan. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Prechnyan makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Prechnyan shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Briggs manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Briggs keeping moving, preventing Prechnyan from controlling successfully. Prechnyan advances to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Prechnyan is looking to stall here but Briggs recovers full guard. Prechnyan trying to control but Briggs is working from the bottom. Prechnyan looking to pass the guard. Prechnyan missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Prechnyan trying to move into half guard but instead Briggs has managed to sweep! Briggs trying to control the position from guard on top but Prechnyan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Briggs stops Prechnyan from standing up. Briggs drops back looking for a leg! Prechnyan is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Prechnyan manages to kick Briggs off! Briggs jumps back into Prechnyan's guard. Prechnyan not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Prechnyan wants to stand but Briggs is controlling the position. Prechnyan throws his legs up looking for a submission but Briggs uses it to pass to side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Prechnyan gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Briggs is just content to waste time from the top position. Prechnyan takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Briggs loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Prechnyan kicks Briggs off and gets to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Prechnyan swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Briggs counters with a body kick that stops Prechnyan in his tracks momentarily. A left and a right from Prechnyan both land. Nice combination. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Prechnyan looks for the body kick but Briggs saw that one coming. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lagar Prechnyan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Leonard Briggs's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Briggs misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Briggs shoots in looking for a takedown but Prechnyan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Briggs's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Prechnyan lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Briggs fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leonard Briggs. That's going to take a lot out of him. Prechnyan shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Briggs manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Prechnyan decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Briggs showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Prechnyan.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Prechnyan looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Prechnyan wants to control from the top but Briggs keeps moving. Briggs is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Prechnyan controls from within his opponent's guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Briggs throws a nice elbow from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Prechnyan slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Briggs is not content to let Prechnyan control the position. Prechnyan has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Prechnyan might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Briggs haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Prechnyan stands up and beckons Briggs to his feet. Briggs tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Prechnyan defends well and Briggs ends up having to push Prechnyan into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Prechnyan ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Prechnyan no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Prechnyan has his hands on Briggs's head, controlling the position. Prechnyan wriggles free and stands up. Prechnyan looks to land a combination. Briggs sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Prechnyan throws a combination that misses and Briggs counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Prechnyan closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Prechnyan trying to control from Briggs's half guard. Briggs has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Prechnyan wants to stand but Briggs is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Prechnyan won't allow Briggs to sweep him here. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Prechnyan postures up in Briggs's guard and throws a big left but Briggs blocks it. Briggs keeping moving, preventing Prechnyan from controlling successfully. Briggs is working an open guard so Prechnyan takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Briggs slips a jab and a cross from Prechnyan.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Briggs lets loose with a powerful body kick. Prechnyan will feel that in the morning. Prechnyan moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Leonard Briggs has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Lagar Prechnyan is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Prechnyan drives through with a takedown into Briggs's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
And that's the end of the fight! Lagar Prechnyan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Prechnyan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
