The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vachon looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Flynn blocks a leg kick.

Vachon closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Flynn's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Flynn keeping moving, preventing Vachon from controlling successfully.

Flynn seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Stephan Vachon has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Flynn takes one on the button.

Flynn checks a low kick from Vachon.
Flynn really is a fat lump.
Flynn tries to clinch there but Vachon circles away.
Flynn throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Flynn leaves Vachon with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Vachon clinches up against the cage.

Flynn breaks from the clinch.
Vachon lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Flynn at a distance.

Vachon slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Vachon postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Flynn pulls Vachon in close to his closed guard and prevents Vachon from doing any damage or advancing position.
