The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thunder shoots and misses
and Fitzgerald counters by moving into the clinch.

Thunder has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Fitzgerald is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Thunder.

Thunder is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Fitzgerald with him. Fitzgerald is trying to defend but Thunder has an arm under the chin now! Fitzgerald grimaces and is forced to tap out!
