These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Steve Montenegro and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kelly dives in and scores a takedown into Watkins's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Watkins holds on and takes a little breather.
Kelly wants to control from the top but Watkins keeps moving.
Watkins looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kelly tries to free his leg and advance position but Watkins is retaining full guard.
Watkins can't keep his opponent in guard - Kelly advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Kelly is looking for a kimura but Watkins is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kelly to get the leverage.
Kelly looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Watkins tries to roll over but Kelly keeps him under control.
Watkins blocking the ground and pound attempt from Kelly.
Watkins really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Kelly thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Watkins is looking to improve his position.
Watkins avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kelly.
Kelly not doing much here.
Kelly throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Kelly is looking to take a break and control but Watkins is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Kelly drops an elbow to the side of Watkins's head.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kelly lands a nice short elbow.
Watkins is rocked!
Kelly works his way into side control.
Oh Watkins is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kelly is working to tighten his grip on Watkins's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Watkins has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Kelly is really squeezing tight and eventually Watkins passes out! Kelly breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Charlie Kelly!
Charlie Kelly decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
